Fender Jazzmaster Candy Apple Red 1966

Serial Number
#130562
Category
Jazzmaster

Instrument in rare Candy Apple Red color built in the first half of 1966 which features, like other models, the white frame on the neck (binding) and the ‘dot’ fret markers which after a few months will be structurally transformed into ‘block’ ones.

A curious detail is the stamping of the date on the handle as the initial code was overprinted perhaps to correct an error or perhaps because the same handle had been entrusted to another model.

The headstock in the same color as the body features the Gold-transition-logo which was difficult to find in 1966 combined with the Kluson double-line tuners which for a period were joined in production by the Schaller ‘F’ series.

The case is black tolex with red interior and external metal logo.
